This site is its own project. It started the way the everything does – with a brief: how the pages should behave, what the type and colour should carry. I didn’t write code, I wrote intent, clear enough for AI tools to build from it. The product is a custom website, built from nothing, plugin-free, and just as flexible as everything else here.

Despite not knowing how to code, using AI tools in 2026 is becoming as common as doing a Google search. Therefore, with a bit of time, and a lot of patience, I put together a website which is just as flexible as my creative flow.

It is nowadays usual practice for developers to appropriate themselves of specific sites – perhaps in disuse or in great decline – and flip them into new and trendy destinations. This often allows them to have total ownership, control and authority over such areas.

Tools for Disruption deals with the notion of inserting foreign elements on the dividing border between Kings Cross and the Borough of Islington, in order to counteract the sterile nature of the much acclaimed Business Improvement District.

In this past decade, Cuba has been going through a substantially challenging time due to US reinstating the commerce embargo.

Facing this situation, the local government is continuously making an effort to improve its economy through the tourism industry. However, this economic policy, in cities like Havana, is only favouring tourist experience of the city and not to locals’ reality, generating a growing gap between the two communities.

This projects proposes a new building typology which condenses the existing urban programs of Havana to encourage new scenarios of interaction between diverging communities.

The juxtaposition of the different programs contained within the building will allow the generation of moments of friction between the users and spark new scenarios of social interaction.

In today’s society, we often tend to leave behind our home, eradicating ourselves from a familiar environment enabling us to live free from any sort of spatial fixity which would otherwise prevent us from moving around. Fixed possessions and property rental are some of the main causes that restrict and limit us from living a more dynamic and versatile way of living.

This project critiques such trends by introducing a new type of dwelling which main objective is to provide enough space in order to pursue everyday activities in the city’s most active areas without having to pay sky-high prices, aiming to satisfy both biological and psychological needs while simultaneously facilitating moving across territories. Based on a pay-as-you-use scheme, its widespread expansion and low prices make the units easily reachable for everyone.

The sense of belonging that is traditionally perceived through the interaction and ownership of material possessions is now replaced, both inside and outside the single living unit. Personal configurations of features such as light, temperature and spatial settings can be saved and associated with the user’s profile, returning to a familiar space every time the service is used. The cluster of units, forming a bigger collective living space, creates a community and gives the users a sense of belonging to a group of people to interact with.
